While watching the replay it looked like 52 Dominic Rulli had a key block to allow Reynolds to get the 1st down. Looking more into it it seems Rulli was the one who said yea or nea to the fake punt once lined up. Great job all the way around Dominic!!!

I heard it real time since I synced the radio broadcast with the TV broadcast.

Great call from Jones still shaking my head on that fake punt call, don't know if it was gutsy or just plain stupid. I guess all is well that ends well, but could you imagine the s**t JF is catching today if that didn't work.

Left tight end. I can’t get a number on these clips. He may have been mentioned by Tengwall, but again, I don’t know the name.
IMO, that’s the key block. Drive his man back about 8-10 yards and I believe finishes the defender off with a pancake.
His controlling the LOS, allows all the others to take their man and make it go.

Edit
Just saw Tengwall post on X
Dakaari Nelson was the guy who brought the syrup for the pancake

It looks like the kid in the front row, with the blanket around him, mouths "I think its a fake".
I'm not a huge fan of Steve's radio/podcasts (He's got a tendency to be a little condescending) but he's flat out the best on the radio.

He did. “I think they’re gonna fake it.”

smart kid.

I said this in the game thread and I'll mention it again here...

Remember when we tried that fake in the Citrus Bowl against Kentucky and it got snuffed out because we tried to sneak a skill player into the protection wall? Kentucky had noticed on tape that it was all big uglies on the protection wall and they saw the adjustment. Since then, I've often checked out who we have there in the event we try to get cute again. On the first punt, I noticed Reynolds there and thought, 'hmmmm, if they wanted to run a fake, at least there's no blaring sign that there's someone different up front'. I hadn't noticed him there all season but judging by the fact that they've repped this play in practice since preseason, I'd imagine he's been there the whole time. Terrific execution and blocking on the scheme by everyone involved.
