I'm going to go put a bag of marshmallows in the freezer.
And just now, I pulled the new issue of Penn Stater with Neeli on the cover out of the mailbox.
Penn State laughs at whistleblowers.
I read the entire complaint, and Bendapudi is clearly worried about negative press. However, as a mandatory reporter at a university, I can say with absolute certainty that the Plaintiff did the correct thing by going to the police. It’s drilled into us that, if we are informed of a crime (or even if we aren’t sure a crime has been committed) the first action we are to take is to inform the designated university Campus Security Authority (usually the police)…and to then stay out of it (unless asked to provide testimony or answer questions). This really looks like retaliation by Bendapudi towards the Plaintiff.
