Just watched the Sims/Tanner postgame interview. Landon said he'll throw his fastball until they prove they can hit it. Logan said he doesn't think they called a change up all day.

He die not throw a change up all day. His lowest fastball was 91. His slider was 82-83 all game and he probably threw it 15 times.

Bednar won CWS MVP with two pitches last year.

My guess is Sims may run into similar issues that Bednar did when we play teams that can really rake. But if you’re an average or worse offensive team he is probably going to dominate you.

From what I saw it was pretty much straight heat with maybe a couple sliders in the first five innings. Then his last couple innings he started throwing a few more sliders.
