feel like it. Only reason I ask is I overheard some people talking at lunch saying since its an SEC rule against artificial noisemakers, it doesn't matter who we are playing we have to "Respect"

I'm not sure anymore but the smart thing would be to do it the same way every home game.

This was last season prior to the UAB game, I believe.

If it is third and long for Tech, I will be ringing the hell out of it. I think I have sense enough to not have to practice for SEC games.

You must respect the bell at all games. The cowbell rule IS an SEC rule but several years ago all SEC member institutions voted unanimously to adopt SEC game day policies for all home games. This means that we are technically bound by SEC rules for any home game, against an SEC team or not. If you were around here you will remember this because Lonnie Tinkle signed off on it effectively banning the cowbell from non-SEC games (back when the full ban was in place).

we would only be fined for SEC games, but we agreed to follow SEC rules at all games. The SEC could fine us if they wanted to. But they won't even have a representative at this game to judge so they won't be fining us.

I've long thought that State fans are too lazy due to just ringing the bell.
