This time of year, I plant unhulled bermudagrass seed and mix with annual rye grass seed. Lightly rake the soil before hand so you can ensure good seed soil contact.
Spread clean wheat straw as a light mulch over the grass seed.
Should see rye grass germinate in about 5-10 days depending on temperature.
Bermuda won’t germinate until soil is 65F
