Just sat through 45 minutes of it, unbelievable how unfunny it is. I never once came close to laughing. It is a shame for this generation to never be able to watch this show with some talent like Dana Carvey, Jon Lovitz, Chris Rock, Farley, Spade, Sandler, Jan Hooks, Phil Hartman, etc

The ones you mention don't even come close to Belushi, Ackroyd, Chase, Murray, Curtain, Radner, Morris, and Newman.

I just mentioned few, agree though. I can’t believe how far that show has fallen. Not a single funny skit.

While I agree that it's not as funny as it was 25+ years ago, Dana Carvey and David Spade were literally in the cold open on last night's show.

If you watch the new comedians that are showing up on tiktok (I know I know), people are starting to bring back real comedy. They are starting to say sh*t that people wouldn't say in the past 10-15 years again. Gives me some hope. Shane Gillis, Adam Ray, Jeff Leeson, Nate Jackson, Bill Burr, Michael Lenoci, Theo Von, and Shuler King are a few that don't mind pushing the envelope and are legit funny.

If they are comedians that have had attempts to cancel their careers then they are funny.

I enjoy the weekend update sometimes with Colin Jost and Michael Che. When they write what the other person has to say is pretty funny when they make it racist!

And the Church Lady cold open was not funny at all. Really sad.

Most people believe SNL was at its peak whenever they were in High School. I don't know if High School kids today even watch the show.

I've only watched a few of the skits, but last night's show was completely forgettable.

I only watch Weekend Update. Jost and Che’s telling each other jokes doesn’t give a 17 about political correctness and it’s hilarious every time. I did watch the Bargatze episode and I think it was hilarious.

That whole bit had me rolling. I don't really get how can call a show with jokes like this on it woke or PC. They make fun of everybody.

Man of Steal 😂😂😂

Love weekend update. It’s odd to me that everyone criticizes it for being too PC (or ‘woke’), but Weekend Update lobs about as race-forward humor as you’ll find on television, much less network TV.

Who’s criticizing weekend update for being too PC?

@mcdawg22’s favorite skits are Keenan Thompson impersonating his favorite game show host Steve Harvey

I’ve watched SNL for as long as I can remember. Of course, every generation has their favorite lineup but they’ve had more good than bad. This current lineup is just bad. They really haven’t had a good one since the Beck Bennett, Kyle Mooney, Kate McKinnon, etc cast.
