He is where he is because of who is dad is not talent but who his dad is, is hurting him. What GM would want to deal with that.

Deion always was an issue even when he played. He always rubbed people wrong. Teams still wanted him because he was an elite talent. People won’t put up with that crap from a guy that isn’t elite and his son ain’t elite. He has too many shortcomings for teams to deal with the drama.

I don’t understand the hate for Sanders, the son. I don’t recall him running his mouth or doing anything disrespectful on or off the field. He’s got a strong arm and was accurate. Does he take too many sacks? Sure, that’s a legitimate knock. That’s also common for young confident QB’s. Not going in the first round was good for him. The best thing for his career will be to go later to a team with an established QB so he can develop without pressure for a few years. I think he’ll be fine in the NFL. He’s definitely better than some of these people who have gone early in years past.
I was seeing constant reports lately that he turned some teams off in interviews. If you paid attention, he showed signs of being a problem, from flaunting his money on social media to throwing teammates under the bus in the media.

I don't think anyone is mad at the kid. They have simply grown tired of the hype.

I have nothing against Shedeur. His dad is a dickhead and the apple probably didn't fall far, but I don't really know that. I think he was way overrated and propped up by his father. His brother Shilo, however, is an awful human being.
Obviously there are more that see things in him they don’t like if he wasn’t drafted in 1st round. Down the ladder a bit he might be considered a deal.
If you’ve ever dealt with over involved parents, this feels very much that way except the parent has a platform that makes them hard to get away from. He would’ve been better off if his dad kept his mouth closed and let his talent speak for itself.
it’s possible that the idea of having Deon up in a teams business did not appeal to many teams.
it’s also possible that objectively, his talent is not first round and teams evaluated that properly.

I don't understand the love. I see people losing their minds. It's simply because he's Prime's kid. I mean, a second round pick is still a high draft slot & nothing to laugh at, but he was never this top pick scenario some had in their head. He can still be great in the NFL or be a bust.

Could’ve been. Anonymous is pretty vague. Could’ve been a high school coach that interviewed him at Wendy’s. Could’ve been Mike Tomlin. Articles citing “anonymous coach” are pretty weak. I have a hard time believing Sanders would be the worst interview a coach was ever part of.

Sanders gets ripped and made fun of, but almost every dad on this board would do the same for their son. It’s not like he didn’t change Colorado’s whole vibe. Go look at their record before the Sanders showed up.

I had not followed, so I did not realize Sanders did not even attend the Combine. Said they already all film that they needed on him.

One thing I saw is he basically wanted to dictate the offense in the NFL like he was Tom Brady or Peyton Manning without actually earning anything. Seems very self entitled. Mel Kiper was about to cry last night as he tumbled. Started spouting off all the great QBs that went later and he would be the next great one.
Change his last name and he would not have even been projected in the first round to begin with. He has a chance to be a NFL starter but he doesn't have the talent like Jayden Daniels or Caleb Williams.

Well, the interesting thing is that last year he was projected as a mid-round pick….like 2nd-4th round. He comes back for his senior season, and he’s basically the same player as he was the year before. Yet, everyone acts like all the sudden he might be a Top 5 pick. Yes, his passing numbers were a little better across the board, but not drastically better. And a lot of that improvement was simply giving Hunter more snaps on offense….as his numbers took a massive jump.

I did also see a report guessing that he was intensionally having bad interviews with teams he didn’t want to go to.
I personally don’t care for that but there can be a method to the madness as a big part of success is about fit. He needs a particular style of offense and I think his dad is savvy enough to know that.
But there is a big risk with that as well as it garners you a reputation. I am pretty curious who drafts him.
