That is what I thought.

Why anyone would think this is a good idea, as it was presented in the article, is beyond me. Did the charity not speak with their attorney first? Or reach out to law enforcement to get their buy in?

Blame shifting. And on top of that, the guy they hired was less than.....credible (?).

It’s likely that the plan was a closely guarded secret among the idiots in charge. Transparency and communication are, in general, good things to promote. Someone could have told them that they were committing professional suicide; the guys responsible will be fired pretty soon.

On a somewhat tangential subject under the same big umbrella, my son started 3rd grade Thursday at a school that has only 3rd and 4th grades. And Friday after school he told me a 4th grade boy showed him a doodle in black Sharpie on the boys’ room stall that was of a stick figure with the word “DIE” written next to it. We’re a mile from Highland Park, where the July 4 shooting was. Hopefully it was done by a kid who didn’t understand what he was doing. I have no idea what direction the admins’ investigation will take, but I admit to being a little unnerved.
