fwiw, DE get paid more, and I believe the Cowboys went to keep listing him at LBer. For tag reasons, the NFL does not have an 'edge' category. I think we see a battle between the Cowboys and Micah before it is all said and done.

all good points, OTOH imo there is a reason Dallas does not want to call him a DE. its always good to see Dallas with a contract battle on their hands, Zeke was never the same after his.

Yeah, I think it’s why he’s bulking up - wants to be paid like a premier DE. Of the Top 15 sack leaders the past three years, Parsons has played in the fewest games (33). What is TJ Watt listed as? He should be the model for Parsons. The good news for him is that the Cowboys are terrible negotiators and he’ll likely get whatever he wants.
