I am impressed you got so close to Bear. I used to watch his Golden Flake coaches show. It didn't matter who they were playing he made it sound like Alabama was going to struggle and possibly lose. He sounded like a humble man despite all his success. Thanks for the nice story!

The Bear was a real legend. Ray Perkins had to follow him as head coach which was no easy task. Ray wasn't doing great. About that time I actually saw a bumper sticker. It said, Dig Him Up.
