I don’t care what the reason is unless it’s an honest one, they screwed up.

It's a product of the schedule:
March 25-27 Bama & April 8-10 - LSU are out because spring football won't be finished
May 6-8 Florida & May 19-21 Tennessee are too late.
So, April 14-16 it is.

LSU would’ve been the PERFECT weekend to have the Dude hopping with overflow SBW crowds and rub the Natty in their corndog faces.

Don’t bring logic in here! It’s obviously because Cohen is Jewish!***

Just another George Soros plot. Don’t go to the spring game. They will be pointing the space lasers at the stadium. Good news is that blood of children will be 2 for 1!***

Is there another Spring weekend worse for SBW? It honestly feels like we’re trying to screw up fan experience the past few years.

Didn’t we have a SBW football scrimmage one year that wasn’t the last practice/ scrimmage of the Spring? Meaning they can still do the scrimmage a week early and then practice the following week if desired.

No, that’d require thinking outside the box so to speak, trying to enhance the fan experience, bringing in as many folks to campus as possible and being logical.

If it's gotta be Easter weekend, the team had BETTER come out to this:

They. Don’t. Want. You. There. Spectators are an inconvenience to the university and staff.

Honest question, how many people really give a crap about actually attending the Spring Game any more? From seeing it on TV and the few I attended years ago, I’d say not many. I say try to just line the baseball series up with other sports and let the Spring Game stand alone on its own. May even allow folks to travel an extra weekend to Starkville for the Spring Game if they are interested. Better for the city of Starkville. Not to say you can’t align it with the Spring Game when its convenient, but I don’t see why that has to be a cornerstone event.

Yes, we've done it several times where they continued to practice AFTER the boring arse, useless Spring game.

Not ideal. We will probably be doing a big crawfish boil that weekend with family.

I haven't been to a SBW lately either because of it being Easter or because the spring game just isn't that great to watch performance wise and there is usually no place to sit at the dude by the time you get over there. Last one I went to was the Arkansas sbw before the stadium was finished. I was fine standing for 4 innings but the wife was not.

I really don't think it hurts. It helps with Friday attendance to the baseball game. A lot of people are off work.

Super Bulldog weekend is primarily about baseball. You don't screw up Super Bulldog weekend to accommodate spring football. And as you mentioned, I'm sure the hospitality industry wouldn't mind an extra weekend with something to market. I'd have to think that the number of people that are only willing to go to Super Bulldog weekend if there is baseball and football is dwarfed by the people that would come to either one if the hotels were a little less expensive.

More people go to the football game than the baseball game.

It doesn’t hurt at all. You get a top tier crowd for LSU the weekend prior and also attract a solid crowd for a lesser opponent the following weekend by simply labeling it Super Bulldog Weekend.

SBW had completely lost its flair over the last 15 years anyway.

SBW is obsolete. It jumped the shark years ago (and I was at the first one in '86)

The main trade off is you won’t have the same crowd for a Thursday night game against Auburn as you would Sunday afternoon against LSU. But I’m sure the Friday and Saturday crowds will still be big.
