I don't care for Rivals *or* BDJ now that there is post-merger fallout. I dislike the Scout board groupthink. Why should I be interested in 24/7 if people like it because of Paul? If Paul leaves 24/7 (not saying he will), is the site worth anything at all?

and the content they provide. But technologically speaking, it's the best network out there.

Nope. From what I've seen over the last year or so, he's the hardest working guy out there. The contributors just add "color", but no realsubsistence.

I'm going month-to-month on 24/7. Yearly might be a better deal, but I'm wanting to see Paul permanently there. I see no reason to believe he'd leave, but I also thought pre-merger BDJ was the greatest thing since sliced bread and that there was no way to screw it up.
Paul is providing the best info on a regular basis that I've ever gotten from the a pay site, and while the contributors aren't always homeruns, having Wyatt and Coach Sherrill doing articles rocks, and there are several contributing posters that provide good info.
I will say that I find it impossible to believe that a year from now there will still be 4 pay MSU sites on the web. Right now my money is on 247 still being around, and thriving.

I would say it is coupling the bantering of SixPack, good articles, good national database on recruits, good analyst....

Then on top the interface is the best I have seen yet. Both the PC and Smartphone access is second to none.

So it is easy to access and make use of.

Very active message board.

Come on in.

I agree with thenext to last sentence & wonder what makes you think 247 will survive.Rivals has Yahoo behind it & Scout has Fox. Does 247 have any money people behindit other thanformer Rivals honchoes?

they were getting sued by their own publishers at one point. Although the two MS sites (MSU and OM) on Scout do very well.

24/7 has big money behind it, at least not on the level of Yahoo and Fox. However, I'm not sure how much money Yahoo is willing to put into Rivals. Certainly the BDJ merger negotiations would seem to indicate they don't have money to throw around. Anyway, at this point 247 has survived the initial year, and is expanding. They've managed to start up in an era where everything computer-related is cheaper, and I don't see them weighing themselves down with as much national/regional staff as the other networks have/once had. They also seem to have all the angles covered: technology, database, and as far as State goes, high quality coverage.
Now, they could do like Rivals and let their technology linger without updates for years on end, but I'll be surprised if they do. They're trending upwards, and I don't think that's a short term thing.

I have seen yet. But seriously, I wish I had made the move a year ago when I first had the opportunity. Lord willing I ain't going anywhere and the guys at 247sports are some of the best tech guys in the business. The same guy who created Rivals is the one who created 247sports and they are just scratching the surface with their database and will always update things as needed. Hope this eases your concerns, and yes, I am a long-time follower of sixpack and first-time poster.

if you read more on an iphone than on an actually computer, it's mobile capability is untouched, BY FAR, by other sites. The articles are great, too... any site that has JWS writing articles has got to be worth the $$, right?
