I was there! This young lady is very special. She is lethal on offense and on defense. Roster lists her as 5’ 10” but the way she can jump she plays bigger.
When she played PG in the fourth quarter it was so interesting to watch come across the half court line because she’s already in range. The defender has a real issue on how to play her because she seems to be able to drive at will. She’s so fast she blows right by people.
When she gets closer to the basket she has that high layup or scoop layup and if there is one of our bigs in the area she can make a no-look to them on the nose for the assist or a turnover if they’re not watching her close. Fascinating to watch.
If I was a “big” I would be chomping at the bit to play with her. Looking at her build she has wide shoulders and strong. She will be a real menace for other teams.
It was also pleasing to see that she played the good defense and plays within the team concept well. She makes the other players better. Kind of got a “Larry Bird like” skill set.
I know my observations might sound like exaggerations but they are not. Y’all are in for a show.
