Apparently the conference is ending after two seasons. I didnt track any patterns in results but also hadn't noticed any lopsidedness.

I figured LWE would mop up everyone. But thought NC, NN, and NV would be competitive if not better than the remaining SWSC teams. Figured WV and Matea would be better than Stagg.

It's been a couple years, has it been a disaster?

Since inception and as of Friday, the 3 "Valley" named schools are 0-7 vs any of the 3 LW schools. Beyond those three, Naperville North is 2-1, Naperville Central 1-2 and DeKalb 0-3. That would be 3-13 overall in that set of match-ups.

I do not know what the complaint is. I just now looked over the results of games this year. Like you wrote, Lincoln-Way East is much better than everyone else. Otherwise, the games have been competitive. Again, like you wrote, Stagg does seem to be the worst team in the conference. I don't know what the DuPage Valley Conference teams were expecting.

The existing arrangement certainly did not stop Naperville Central from making a nice run to the state semifinals in 8A last year.

The arrangement has not been a disaster.

I think it is fair to say that the arrangement has been a disaster for the DVC schools. If it hasn't been a disaster why has the conference managed to win just three games combined between the six schools against the Southwest suburban teams?

Maybe at some point, the DVC needs to acknowledge that merging with Southwest Valley was a mistake to begin with. The Napervilles have shown to at least compete but even they are a tier below most of the SW schools. The Valleys wouldn't even be competitive if they joined another top tier conference such as the DuKane. There is a reason two of the three Valley schools recently hired new head coaches.

Its been 1.5 years. This is the best LWW has been ever and the best LWC has been in almost 30 years.

Last year NN beat: LWC, LWW, Lockport, HF, and Sandburg

Last year NC beat: Andrew, Stagg, LWW, Lockport, and Sandburg

Last year WV was competitive with LWC, Bradley and Lockport in addition to beating Stagg

Last year DeKalb has some close and some not so close, and beat Stagg for their only win

Yeah Nequa and Matea had it rough, but they lost non-con games too.

Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as the Valley school I think 2 of the 3 have just played East and West. WV being the only one to play LWC, which like stated above seems to be better that they have been but still the weaker of the three LWs.

The DVC would take playing the Dukane over the Southwest in a heart beat

This is true. Maybe that's a conference merger that happens at some point but the question is, would the Wheatons want to play the Napervllle North, Naperville Central, and Neuqua like they did back in the day?

Especially with this SWVC blowing up, I wonder if the D230 schools (Sandburg, Stagg, Andrew) ever considered overtures to another conference. Maybe the 3 Valley schools along with Bradley & DeKalb or even looking to the Southwest Prairie. I think it is more than a year-to-year thing with the 3 LW schools separating themselves from the rest of the pack. H-F would probably love to get into the Southland and Lockport would need a spot like the LWs. Pure superficial speculation on my part.

I don't think the D230 schools end up joining another conference. The question is, who are you merging with? They aren't going to join up with the Valley Schools because that would require playing the Napervilles and Stagg would so no to that.

Now that you say that, I just realized the MSL didn't play their yearly Thursday game. Strange...

Sandburg at LWE Thursday allows Lincoln-Way Central at Rich Township to gain attendance numbers on Friday…..I don’t have a clue. Strange.

Andrew to St Joseph-Ogden in week 8. We rarely see a matchup like this with this many classes between public schools. I would say "We're all Spartans in week 8" but Romeoville is also Spartans so my Brookness will not allow me.

That said I tried to get Coal City and Wilmington on the schedule to no avail.
