They need to "figure out" a lot more than that. They need help all over the field.
His two Super Bowls were also won with Bill Cowher's players IMO.
Tomlin won the super bowl in his 2nd year after taking over for Cowher. That was the high water mark. 2 years after that they lost a Super Bowl. That was 11 years ago in 2010.

If you told me, on that dark night back in February 2011 when we had a bad day in Dallas, that this was what we had to look forward to the next decade, I truly don't know what I'd do, but I'd be a very, very sad person.

Qb has little to do with it. The first two rounds must be used of offensive lineman. Every team knows they are porous and he’ll Ben almost handed it off which in fact he basically did to a defensive lineman who got back to the mesh point in a half second.
I would rather get the olineman before letting Ben go and getting another qb who will be crushed. If Ben does go then we will be 5-12 next year at best and get another great draft pick for a good qb in 2023.
Receivers really are a disappointment. Johnson had potential but bricked an easy pass and showed no effort then he was running free and dropped the ball. Both mc cloud and clay pool keep getting nailed with taunting.
Rooney should dump Tomlin and hire Narduzzi as head coach. Narduzzi could coach the pitters on Saturday and the Steelers on Sunday. Narduzzi knows how to produce a team with a winning record. It has absolutely nothing to do with recruiting or drafting. It has nothing to do with training players or picking good plays. It has everything to do with scheduling cupcakes every week. Narduzzi would move the Steelers to the Canadian football league so that the Steelers would be playing NFL washouts every week. The Steelers would win championships year after year and Narduzzi could take credit just like he took credit for the pitters success in the Atlantic Cupcake Conference this year.
What an awful play call. I saw that and said "yep we'll be hearing about that garbage later." Even I know not to call that play at that time with those players, and I don't know a damn thing about football.
