UGA had a ton of injuries last year. They just happened to have 5* guys waiting in the wings.

Well, yeah, I'm talking about an elite team having their season totally derailed by injuries.

I suppose some of it is depth, but I just don't often hear of the better teams saying "well, if it wasn't for injuries." Overall, they just don't seem to deal with it as often.

Seems ever few years here we have major injury issues.

Urban Meyer says that the 2 most important hires on a football staff are the OL coach and the Strength and Conditioning coach. I think he knows a thing or two about college football success.
He also knows a lot about lying and cheating. That said, I would tend to agree with him here.

I just think it's mostly a depth issue.

Clem is going through it too. They've now got 2 OL out for the rest of the year. A couple of WR out, Shipley is hurt. If ND does to them what I think they're going to do to them, they'll be singing the injury song as well. Already starting on Plyler's show in this morning. Talking about how difficult it's going to be missing 2 OL. Gimme a break!

I agree depth is an issue! However, that is not the reason for all of the injuries this team is and has been experiencing! I just think that with proper nutrition and proper weight training we should not be experiencing so many injuries!

100% should be looked at. But Henry, Nichols, and Anderson getting rolled up on isn't weight training or nutrition. Juice breaking a bone in his foot isn't a training or nutrition issue. They should all be looked to see if there is a way to avoid these, then if there was a path to quicker recovery, but my guess is they'll find training/nutrition was a minimal influence in them.

We get proper nutrition and proper weight training.
