Sure it's trivial, but the jumbotron has gone from an atmosphere enhancement to

a complete buzzkiller. It just kills any fire the crowd may seem to have when we cut to the "kiss cam", the "dance cam" or the "watch grass grow cam" during the game. Those sorts of things fit well at a baseball game, but not during a football game. I understand the need for advertisements, but outside of that, they should be playing hype music to keep the crowd in it. Last season was a pretty good example of how it should be done, but the first season before the outside was even completed was the best example of how it should be utilized. Like I said, it's trivial, but just an observation. Fire away.

and where the hell is DJ Kool. I need some Let Me Clear My Throat.

And they need to edit the Who Let the Dawgs Out from The Hangover. They start out with the Baja Men version from the movie and then pipe in with Chuck Smooth. Doesn't sound good.

I also understand the role of advertising, but come on. It is not only the timing and amount of advertising, but the type of advertising. Ads about Cancer care centers, etc., have their place and are very important, but for a few hours at a football game, if you are going to play an ad, I want to see crap blowing up or something at least keeps the atmosphere going during the ad. Something like an ad for "sons of anarchy" or something like that or an Adidas football ad, hell I dont know, but it just struck me that not only were the ads just too prevelant, there were also just slow, depressing and generally bad. Playing that damn underage drinking ad right in the middle of the 4th quarter makes you want to just leave the game. <div>
</div><div>They should plan it out where they have a bunch of ads that are image-only, no sound ads - like the UMI ad, and those ads should always be played towards the end of a timeout or play stoppage, so that music can be played WHILE that ad is on the screen. </div><div>
</div><div>It is unbelievable, but the jumbotron has almost taken away from the gameday atmosphere. It takes skill to screw something like that up. </div>

and bad restaurants. I made the comment last night during the game that when it comes back from commercial time out break, that the place should be rocking. Nope...another cartoon bus vs car race and a crowd as dead as a funeral mass.

No excuse for having a tool like the jumbotron and not using it for its designed and obvious advantage. I thought the music choice was pretty repetitive and the temperature of warm spit. We are letting a huge part of game atmosphere slip into another ad-driven revenue engine. (Revenue is important, but winning is more important.)

The commercials may contribute some, but it's no excuse for our fans to act like a bunch of pussies.

We need to make a <span style="font-style: italic;">lot </span>more noise, and it falls squarely on the fans shoulders, not the jumbotron... Make some noise you pussies.

It's kinda funny, but it is played out and ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE in that it leads with the Baha Men version. That version should never ever be played.

Chuck smooth, on the other hand, is OUR SOnG. Either cut the Baha Men out or cut the hangover altogether. It was a nice try, but it is too clumsy. Just get smoot or AD or even galiafianakis to say "time to let the dogs out".

I agree on azzurri's suggestions- get some silent ads to run at the end of the timeouts, so that you can play some "I ain't never scared" or "put on for my city" or (insert rap/rock song).
