Instead of playing at LSU, we'd play at Texas A&M. I'm OK with that trade.

We get them in Starkville in 2013 and 2015. Welcome to life with 4 OOC games to schedule each year. Very few schools can afford to pay buyouts to get the mid-majors at home every time so they have to go on the road. That's why you see most BCS conferences going to a 9-game conference schedule and why you see a lot of mid-level BCS teamsdoing 2-for-1s with teamslike Troy. I know they hosted Oklahoma St. a couple of years ago.

I get tired of the "why are we playing at Memphis and at UAB?" All it takes is money. Money that we don't have.

than a 9th SEC game any time. Having 2 this year is inexcusable, but we all know who made that schedule up.

That's a much more manageable September than the past few years.

October will be tough, but fun - playing two schools we rarely see on our schedule in Tenn and A&M.

November is the same as always.

No LSU.

Good stuff.

would we take a West team off instead of an East? What happens if we tie LSU for first place, then who goes to the SEC championship? I don't like it, take away an OOC not LSU. Even though we always lose, the LSU game along with Bama and Ole Miss are the 3 most anticipated games to watch. So all the west teams have one more conference game than the East. That's not a bad thing. We added aTm to increase the SEC value so replace the OOC opponent with aTm for each of the 6 other west teams and 3 east teams. 9 SEC games. Till we find a 14th the East will have to struggle to schedule a top OOC game OR the SEC could just add Boise St. as the OOC team for all the East teams to play. That'd be interesting.

then as long as we have three 2-for-1s in place, we'd only have 1 non-conference away game each year, right? Having one road game vs UAB, Tulane, La Tech, MTSU, Memphis, etc, each year is fine in that case.

I really didn't like the road opener this year, especially with playing a road game in week 2. I know it may have been unavoidable this year, but I hope it's not a trend. I'd much rather kick the year off at home.

Not going to happen in the near (or far) future. But if it does, it is what you call "a high class problem".

This year was a buy game. 2012 was the return game from our trip to LA Tech in 2008, which they bought out of. 2015-2016 is a home-and-home and is still scheduled.

Texas A&M will play Kentucky and Vanderbilt as their only East division opponents in their first season. ADs were made enough when MSU played Vandy, Kentucky and USC back in 98 and 99.....they're certainly not going to let TAMU pull that **** in their first year.

I actually wager that TAMU will play 5 West teams and 3 East teams for however long we have a 13 team league. They will want to rotate the East teams on to their schedule as quickly as possible. Plus, if TAMU has a 5W-3E schedule, then we only have to cancel 1 other SEC West rivalry. I think UMiss and Auburn will be happy to quit playing each other for at least one year.
