Ybor City. Clearwater Beach. Busch Gardens. There's a casino around too if you're into that sort of thing.

What you got?
For anyone that has kids, in my opinion Busch Gardens has sadly declined a lot and no longer worth what they charge. In 2019 they could not handle the holiday crowds, and based on recent reviews their staffing has gotten even worse post-COVID. Maybe would visit again on a school day, but will never go again during a holiday week.

Tampa is my hometown. Great place.

If you want a great steak, go to Berns. But you probably need to make reservations now. As far as stuff to do, Busch gardens, there is a zoo and aquarium. Ybor city is fun, obviously not for kids. Downtown St. Pete is where I’d stay if I was going. Great area with lots of restaurants, bars and very walkable. You’ll have to Uber to the stadium from St. Pete. Beaches in st. Pete or Clearwater are nice, obviously depends on weather but even in December and January you can go to the beach most days. Water might be cold.

Depending on how early you go, the lighting have home games 28, 29th and 31st. Always fun to watch a hockey game.

Head to Clearwater. Try to infiltrate the Scientologist’s Flag Building and solve the mystery of missing Shelly Miscavige before the Sea Org goons try to take you out.

Head to Clearwater.
I stayed at the Clearwater Holiday Inn in 1997 for two weeks for work. The lounge was happening at Happy Hour. The Neil Diamond impersonator started his show at Mon-Thur at 6:00 PM and the place was packed with women ready to dance. Some of them may have been as young as 60. They partied for two solid hours until the show was over at 8:00. After 8:30 it was pretty much me and the bartender.

I have a cousin who worked at the Brass Flamingo. So if you are into busty meth heads, you should try there.

I lived in Saint Petersburg for almost 9 years, the pinellas county typically has better restaurants than a more commercial tampa side. Each city on the coastline is ethnically oriented: Tarpon Springs (mostly Greek) with incredible greek restaurants on Dodecanese near the spongue docks; Dunedin is largely Scottish (Celtic); Clearwater (Beware of scientologists). Best beaches are Madeira beach and the board walk, Treasure Island (Caddy's), st. Pete beach as well.

Tampa try the Columbia, there are some nice places at the International Mall, South Howard Ave has a lot of park and walk bars, and one thing i loved about the area there are no shortage of dive bars.

Top of Hyatt Regency on Courtney campbell causeway, Armani's restaurant with incredible view of the bay area. Bern's Steakhouse has been #1 in the country for some time; Oyster Catchers great seafood, Samarai Sushi in Ybor,

World of Beer is pretty awesome too.
