I don’t defend anything, I just pointed out your number is wrong. If we go 10-2 every year, I can live with that because I’m not entitled…I don’t think I deserve better.
Again, the rankings don't matter (and it's FAR from certain they'll pass us, anyway). It's college football. Roster turnover is FAR more frequent than in, say, pro football. The fact that we return so much top talent from a team that *should have* beaten a better version of OSU, and went all the way to the national semis, is HUGE. It gives us a huge, huge advantage. We are set. We are stacked. Any other potential contenders are relying on hype, hope and development. We are what everyone else hopes to be and get to. We are the hunted.
Just heard on Fox that OSU has 6 straight wins against teams that have an AP top 5 ranking.

How OSU played in August, with a new QB, against a Texas team that is loaded with talent, will have no bearing whatsoever on how OSU will play in December and January. It is as though you have never followed college football before.
Watching USCe v VaTech and ESPN just did a piece on Arch Manning on halftime show.... They showed a scouting grade that 37% of Arch's passes were "Off Target" (meaning un-catchable throws - 43.33% of his passes were incomplete). IOW, almost 90% of his incompletions had more to do with Arch Manning's inaccuracy than duhO$U's defense. ESPN said the 37% "Off Target" number is the worst performance by a Texas QB in at least 10 years.
Texas - off of the massive over-rating of Manning based solely on his name, not his play - is one of the most over-rated teams in the nation. They could easily lose multiple games in SEC play and not even make the Playoffs.

They just beat Texas with a new QB, genius. I can’t remember the last time Penn State came out of the gate strong with a new QB. I have been following Penn State since 1980.
"duhO$U" was starting a new QB, new RB's and a new OC. They were playing the #1 team in the country with an elite defense. OSU played it conservative. Given all that I would wait a month or 2 before judging their offense.
