Funny thing about that...20 or so years ago I was part of an officiating crew for a game at Union Academy in Georgetown. They hosted Tri-County for homecoming. TCA was leading like 42-0 in the second quarter with the clock running. I was the umpire, and during a stoppage of play the LB for Union asked me, "Mr. Ref can we hurry up and get this game over? We have the homecoming dance to get to!" I could only laugh and respond with "I assure you after halftime the game will be over in 25 minutes."
