It's called due process. The University and the media allowed for neither. The BOT (including the Governor) was also likely scapegoating so all the blame could be laid at the feet of the football program and the corruptness involved by those in the BOT could stay hidden long enough for everything to be expunged and they could walk away scot-free.Right after you explain to me how a university for the first time ever, had to deal with a nuclear bomb like the one that hit in Oct.2011. No road map. No other university ever having to deal with something remotely close to what was occurring, allowing them to follow a model, a course. Nothing. A man was raping children. The university was being threatened with the actual disbanding of their football program. Lawsuit threats piling up by the hundreds. Joe Paterno lost his coaching job and reputation. That would have happened at any other school in the country at that time for the crimes that were being committed against children. Believe what you want. The man responsible for all of this will rot in prison. Many people suffered. Not just Joe.
