Gonna need a Mrs Pacman beside the pool tables to take me back to 1984-1988
I don’t really remember any arcade games other than some type of gambling machine next to the guys bathroom that was on the wall.
I bartended out there for about 8-9 months total over about a two year span - probably sold some of you a few longnecks!
Some good times to be had out there for sure.

Because I don't want to drive around the block multiple times waiting on a parking place to open up, use some damn app on my phone to pay to park, park on that dark side street and walk for blocks to drink, and then have to stagger back to the car in the dark
If you don't want to do all that, couldn't you go some place that has on-site parking? Doesn't starkville have a buffalo wild wings and walk-ons now?
I completely get not wanting to go somewhere without easy, free parking. At this point in my life, I'm usually going somewhere with parking. But doesn't that basically describe everywhere in Starkville outside of the cotton district and downtown? What cool, walkable area can you think of that requires every restaurant or retail store to have its own parking lot?

I don’t ever remember a male tending bar there. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. 94-99’.

I swear. The last thing the most lively area in town needs is a parking lot to make it ugly. Maybe one day they’ll build a large hidden parking garage, but I love a walkable city.

Bulldog Burger used to be a regular stop every time we were in town, pretty good beer selection , a great burger, and don’t get me started on the cheesesteak egg rolls but the parking situation has changed that. I probably haven’t been to Bulldog Burger the past dozen times I’ve been to Starkville. I might give BDB or Two Brothers a drive by around lunch but we don’t even consider it at night.

Could have used yall Saturday. CD was slammed. Can’t wait and plan to spend plenty of money with yall. I do hope the menu is wide and diverse bc there is great pizza right across the street.

A little after my time so just curious, where exactly was the original located and when did it open and close?

Making the drunks drive longer distances on dark 2 lane roads may not have been their goal, but that's what they did.
During my time there, we were still under the no cold beer in Starkville rule...talk about all the unintended consequences of that stupid law...

ETA: compound that with the drinking age law having only recently changed from 18 to 21

Mayhew. Head east on 82, then turn north on 45 headed to West Point, it was on the right. The Pony wasn't there back then, but the site is basically a little south and across 45 from where The Pony is now (or was the last time I checked.)

There was a partial brick wall still standing way back off the road that was left when it burned. The old gravel parking lot was visible for years too but I haven't looked in quite awhile but its probably grown over by now
