when Brown took over, they were nothing like Duke Football. Duke was busy winning the ACC and UNC was suffering through its only 2 losing seasons under Brown...his first two years (1-10).

it showed that Ohio State (aka the best that the Big 11 had to offer) couldn't hang with the best SEC team. I believe either OU or USC would've given LSU a better game (and I think SC would've beaten them).

The fact is, the Big 11 is 9-9 vs. the SEC over the past 5 years. Don't discount OSU just because they lost the NC game. Remember, Florida got absolutely blown out by Nebraska in the title game the year before they won it. Don't think OSU couldn't win one this year just because they lost it last year.</p>

I should've said Duke post-Spurrier.. the Duke that has had one winning season in 18 years, including 10 seasons of 2 or fewer wins (and 4 years where they posted 0-fers). That Duke.

can't win it all b/c they will in the title game. But the difference in your Florida analogy is that in 1996 Florida didn't have to play a team nearly as damn good as 1995 Nebraska. That team was awesome. OSU will likely play a team as good or better than 2007 LSU.
