They played their worst game of the year and we played our best game of the year. Translation: they would have won had both teams played to their norm on the season.

I think we can safely say we did play our best game and it was certainly their worst outcome. How much of their performance was attributable to our excellent play, though? I'd say a significant amount.

I've also never understood the "you only won because we played bad" defense. That's kind of the whole point of the game.

Meh. Sounds like every college football fanbase I've ever heard.

If that is the case, why didn't they play better? Did their players not give full effort? Did the coaches not prepare the team properly? Did the coaches call bad plays or defensive sets?

For all the millions of dollars A&M fans pour into that program, they should never play bad.

What jumped out at me was the lack of speed on their defense. Might need to buy better players.

Yeah but nothing quirky happened. Honestly the Oklahoma game, 21-0 immediately off those turnovers, we would beat OU anyway but that quirky start was unique. The Clemson 2013 win w the 5-6 turnovers was quirky. Or a starting QB being out

We just straight up beat A&M running down their throats, playing tight coverage, disciplined D line play, solid special teams. Nothing odd at all. No other way to spin that one!

It was clearly their worst beating, but the turnover excuse can't be used.
They can call it poor tackling but clearly it was more a case of Sellers, Rocket and Simon refusing to be tackled.

Not sure I can agree with that narrative. Our defense is stacked and has proven that they love a good fight.

A&M messed around and gave a spark to a young quarterback. That slide on 4th down changed his mindset in the game.

If I was an A&M fan I would have selected Notre Dame as the worst played game of the year (so far). But that's just me.

They got their @$$e$ kicked. That's the beginning and end of it.

I doubt we were better overall than the 2000 Quincy Carter Georgia team that came in here - ranked 10th, by the way. I know we weren't better. They got their @$$e$ kicked also - but they owned it.

When you get your @$$ kicked, there's nothing more to be said.
