He has just a few weeks left to do the things necessary to save his job after next season. He has to hire the right pitching coach and bring in at least 3 SEC grade arms out of the portal.

So far we have crickets on the coaching search and one D2 also ran pitcher out of the portal. I am not encouraged. If this does not happen by mid July it will not happen.

We have lost out on our Natl Championship, let’s kick *** in recruiting and build a dynasty window.
Lemonis got fat happy content and lazy it seems.

Byrne knows we're in a world of $hite. He likely gave Jackson a huge raise to stay as their pitching coach even though he hired the Maryland HC to take over. Kills two birds with one stone. 1) Keeps a good coach on their staff for continuity and 2) Keeps the same guy from traveling 90 miles to the west to help his hated baseball rival.
