An update on my health issues. It all began last Summer (a year ago). I was stepping off my deck, onto the yard. I stubbed the toe of my shoe and fell face first off my deck, to the grass. About a foot. Landing hard, perfectly flat, on my chest. Nearly had the air knocked out of me. Nothing got hurt. Atleast I thought. It appears I had internal bleeding. Last September I was stacking a cord of wood that I got for the Winter. I got really light heading and short of breath. That started me on the journey to figure out what was wrong. Several different scans pointed to a tumor on my left lung. Some delay on my part on deciding to have an operation or not, led me to having the operation 3 weeks ago. Instead of a tumor Doc found sort of a sack full of brown sludge. Most likely remnants of my injury from last Summer. He also found scarring on my lung from asbestos exposure at some time in my life. Do I have cancer? Well no. Could I get cancer from the exposure? Well yes. I have no clue how or when I was exposed. Doc said that medical standards are, cancer monitoring happens in your lungs when you have cancer or smoked for atleast 20 years. I don't qualify. So I am cut loose with no follow ups. That good news, I guess. The question is...is the glass half full or half empty. I'll go with half full.
