The number of posts and tweets and videos they’ve put out about ringing responsibly they must have gotten a phonecall.
Pretty sure someone over on RebelGrove filed a complaint with SEC office...Yeah we mess up and win a big game at home might be looking at banished again.
somebody been crying already
From your mouth to God’s earsNext thing you know the Egg Bowl will be too toxic.
Maybe it is about to get TOXIC againPretty sure someone over on RebelGrove filed a complaint with SEC office...
Which should be totally fine, because it was a nonconference game. The last game it was getting to the point of complete disregard. Haven't seen that before
I don't think that is accurate. I think part of "cowbell compromise" that Loafers and Byrne brokered is that we agreed to adhere to the rules in all games, not just SEC games. That is a conference rule correct? There is no problem ringing out of conference in my understanding.
Nope, all games. We got a pass so far but that is at an end. That is a conference rule correct? There is no problem ringing out of conference in my understanding.
Incorrect, OOC games aren't a part of the ruleI don't think that is accurate. I think part of "cowbell compromise" that Loafers and Byrne brokered is that we agreed to adhere to the rules in all games, not just SEC games.
It is not silly talk, but failure to prepare for TN with Danny White and Donde Plowman coming in would be a bad look on our partThere's no chance the bells are getting banned, that's silly talk. We don't want to get hit with a big fine after dropping $500K a few weeks ago.
There is no rule against them in Non-Conference games. That is an SEC rule. The SEC does require no cowbells while the opposing offense is over the ball, I forget the exact timing but if we ring at that time, fines ensue and a possible banning of them again. The last game it was getting to the point of complete disregard. Haven't seen that before
Same rules apply to them.. Loudspeaders aren't supposed be played while an opposing offense is over the ball. They get away with it somewhat but so do we. I see lots of people still ringing irresponsibly. No fines last week as it is an SEC rule.Good thing this game isnt in Knoxville, i would imagine the league will warn the orange sherbet to not pump "rocky top" over the loudspeaker before their next home game**
They have been banned before, so yes there is a chance. There's no chance the bells are getting banned, that's silly talk. We don't want to get hit with a big fine after dropping $500K a few weeks ago.
They aren't banning the bells guys....yall can stop with that. It would take a massive issue or a total disregard after finings. And the fines on everything went up this season, so each game is significant now.It is not silly talk, but failure to prepare for TN with Danny White and Donde Plowman coming in would be a bad look on our part
There is no rule against ringing cowbells for non-conference games. Only SEC games. The bell ringing at the Arizona state game was egregious. Our people wanted that game badly and did not give a damn. The bell resting was a little better v NIL but the crowd was small and unenthusiastic.
I'll be honest, if I was Tennessee and watched the Az st game, I would have filed a complaint.
I think students only is a very good idea. It would seem to be easier to control and police while keeping the tradition alive. But only if we have to.Anyone that was at Zona State knows we did NOT ring responsibly. I'm not surprised.
My stupid solution to this entire thing is to allow students to ring bells only.
You are incorrect on this one. The rule is a SEC rule not NCAA.Nope, all games. We got a pass so far but that is at an end.
No, it's accurate. We will only get fined for conference games.I don't think that is accurate. I think part of "cowbell compromise" that Loafers and Byrne brokered is that we agreed to adhere to the rules in all games, not just SEC games.
This is incorrect.Nope, all games. We got a pass so far but that is at an end.
This, and if you yell for those few seconds, the stadium can stay almost as loud and you not die.Just stop ringing when the hand goes on the ball. It follows the NCAA rules for the band. It's not rocket science. It has not been an issue since they changed the rule for us. Now it is. Dumbasses just stop ringing at the right time.
You’re probably right. I mean they haven’t banned them before…They aren't banning the bells guys....yall can stop with that. It would take a massive issue or a total disregard after finings. And the fines on everything went up this season, so each game is significant now.
