Canadian dollars?$560 sunglasses???
At least it’s just simple assault.
What does complex assault look like? Hitting a guy with a T-square? Using big words?
Thinking the same thing. However, I don't think we are getting the full story which is par for the course with State College/PSU news.Geez. Just walk away.
Perhaps - I can’t speak to the accuracy of local reporting. But unless Theo was attacked and defending himself, there is no reason to physically mix it up…..I recently read a story about a local fight. Someone got pushed or punched, fell backwards, hit his head and died. Thankfully that did not happen here.Thinking the same thing. However, I don't think we are getting the full story which is par for the course with State College/PSU news.

I don't know if there has ever been a party that I wanted to go to that much
I have lived in State College for the past 20 years and know that those news services don't always provide everything. Granted they may not be being told everything all the time but it is what it is. I have a hard time believing the fb player just threw a punch just because they wouldn't let him in or asked him to leave. I am sure this isn't the first time someone punched someone at a frat but because it is a fball player it makes the news. Happened in February and it just comes out now? Someone most likely pointed it out to the news services because I doubt they scan the daily court documents and investigate every name in there. Don't get me wrong, what the fball player did was wrong, but feels a wee bit witchhunty to me. The program has been pretty incident free for a long time now but there are a lot of changes going on at PSU and I am sure there are some disgruntled folks. At this point in time, what parts of the full story could the CDT, StateCollege.com, Collegian, etc. possibly be leaving out? They referenced the court documents and Penn State's official response. Short of Johnson and/or the person treated at the hospital agreeing to an interview, what else could they possibly report?
In my younger years, heaven help anyone that came between me and my birthday cake.
That's what a sober person might do. I have a hunch that wasn't the case here.Geez. Just walk away.

and definitely not at a frat house.I don't know if there has ever been a party that I wanted to go to that much
Meh, maybe, maybe not. I always felt that things that hit the newspapers around here are only because someone wants it to hit the newspapers otherwise we would never hear about it. I will take my tinfoil hat off now.I think you're reaching for something that isn't there. In this town, football players are celebrities. In this society, celebrities are news items. It's that simple. I've lived here for over thirty years and I've seen more than my fair share of a$$hat-ery from both the Greeks and athletes.
Overall, it does seem like football player a$$hat-ery has been down of late.
Geez. Just walk away.
True enough. But I did not read those facts in the article….I still say, unless physically provoked, self control was the better option.Easier said than done when you have some rich, loudmouth punk in your face.
Some of these dumbasses never learn.
