These refs in the Chicago/Miami game must be from the SEC.

but Miami is launching the threes now. This would be an epic choke. <div>and as I hit "submit" they tie it up.</div>

And I guess they will never learn that Derek Rose vs. LeBron James at the end of the game is a very bad matchup

Rose was all by himself this series. The other guys went into their shells for the last 4 games.

Miami won't have that luxury with Dallas who has a few guys that can get 20+ on a given night.

They play enough to win enough games in the regular season just to get to the playoffs, then they go nuts. The best defensive teams with the most clutch shooting win every time. No lead is safe. That is why I only give a crap about the NBA during playoff season. <div>
</div><div>On another note, this whole playoff season has been nothing but chokes. Not just OKC, but the Bulls, San Antonio, and several other teams have had their fair share of chokes. That's why I said the best defensive teams with the most clutch shooting win. </div>

Rose and Westbrook especially started to really force things and thus the shots their teams got down the stretch were often poor. Learning experiences for those guys.

Miami is too good on both ends of floor and will have good match ups vs Mavs...

I admit that Miami is a great defensive team but their offense is not on par with the Mavericks. They go long stretches of games without scoring especially when one of the Big 3 is not on the floor. I think their bench is what will end up costing them the title. Dallas can bring some serious firepower off their bench plus they have 3 seven footers that will shut down Bosh.

what you're saying is that the teams that do the best job of keeping the opposing team from scoring while hitting the most shots in critical situations, win? Phil, is that you?

I was wondering, when was the last time that a team won an NBA title that had a point guard as its best player? Scanning the list of champions, I can tell you that you'll have to at least go back to the '70s and there may not even be a team in that decade. I just don't know the rosters of teams prior to 1980 very well.

Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas. Although Magic was in a special class as a point guard.

I wasn't counting Magic since I agree that he more or less invented a new position and was in a class of his own, but you're definitely right about Thomas and the Bad Boy Pistons.

Whatever the case, it's pretty clear that it doesn't happen often and even Thomas had a few legends around him. It will be interesting to see how the Bulls respond this summer because the worst thing to me was not just the fact that the Bulls got soundly beaten in the series. It was the fact that Rose clearly has little faith in his teammates knocking down shots or making plays around him.
