As I stated elsewhere, I feel differently about that. He wouldn't have played (didn't at Virginia), and I doubt it would change much about Daddy's current allegiances.

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this.
My built in assumption is that if we did, we keep his support. Seemed short sighted to me at the time. Who knows if that’s accurate…

For sure.

Michigan State - Michigan
NC State - UNC
Clemson - SoCar
Auburn - Alabama
aTm - UT (okay, maybe the aggies are their own breed)
Va Tech - UVA

Lots of similarities in the way their fans act, and interact.
There are some funny LG's out there that act like they're "embarrassed" of the moniker (I'll let y'all guess at a few of these) . .

Son probably wouldn't have played, but i bet it would have affected where daddy spent a lot of his time and money.

1) Is that the first time we have been mistaken for USM?

2). I have had Whole Foods potato salad and it's not that good. My Piggly Wiggly makes much better potato salad and you can get mustard, loaded or traditional.
I hate it when mustard is the dominant flavor...it's like, we were too lazy to nutmeg, salt and pepper this *****, so we added extra mustard. Oh, and hope you like diced pickles.

We lost Grisham (the author, not the astronaut) a long time ago.

I'm not even sure we're his third favorite school anymore. It's pretty obvious UVA and Ole Miss are way ahead of us.

I suspect he's an insufferable snob, but unlike the typical Ole Miss snob, he actually has the cattle.
I hope Oak can get him back on board because he is a fan to have. It is sad we let Polk piss him off.

I've been to Charlottesville once. The University campus is divided by a highway. Imagine half our campus is in the cotton district and the other half is around the football stadium

They think so much of baseball, their stadium is off campus to the north and down some side road a mile or so.

The school/town seemed like Hattiesburg or Tupelo.

Maybe we should give CBOC a nickname right off the bat.

We already have a governor known as “Tater” and we seem to be headed in the right direction with the new baseball coach.

aTm snobbery skyrocketed when they joined the SEC. A better match to State is Texas Tech. Tech people could parachute in to State and fit right in and vice versa.

Think it was McMahon, also think it was him who didn't give Raffy's boy a walk on chance, then left for UF (SMH). you don't have to guarantee a starting spot, crap let'em sit on the bench.............Rafael-freakin-Palmeiro
I know a guy that got a walk on spot under Mullen because his dad did his pool. If a kid's family has money, you find a spot.

On the team? yes. Played? Only if he earned it.

We should’ve found a spot for his son way back when.

For his money and the attention he could have brought, I damn sure would have let his kid play some midweek games when we were blowing out someone.

Btw, they ever gonna update the video of “the Lounge” or is the sour grapes preventing that?

I got my Army commission in the JG room in the library.

Look at it from this perspective. Think about how we felt when Vic left for Texas. O'Connor has been at UVA 4 times longer than Vic was here, has been much more successful, and does not have the 'going back home' excuse.

I'd be pretty butt hurt too if I was in their shoes.
