I've spent 14 years, 5 months and 21 days "going through the motions.... " My advise is to always put your significant other above everything else in your life. I let so many things ...especially my career, cloud my judgment. What's really sad, is I thought I was always doing the right thing.
Funny how none of the things I thought were crucial are important now.
Perspective...what you see depends on where you stand. You don’t wanna get caught next to me.

Lol. My brother in law lives in St Paul and he’s going to Austin to see the eclipse. The current forecast has Austin with the worst cloud cover of any place along the entire center line of the track, how’s that working out for him? Ah, he’s U Wisconsin, let him suffer.
I saw a partial eclipse in 2017, I can get the appeal of seeing a total eclipse. But I wouldn't go to Austin for it.
All of the items I mentioned are supposed to have monumental importance on us -- not to me anymore. At best, I 'comment' at the stupidity of these superficial people and things and ignore as much as possible.
