After the 2nd pick-6.

The defense was totally gassed at that point. Worst case scenario, you give them the ball at mid-field, they score quickly, and you get the ball back with 3-4 minutes left. Best case scenario, you get the ball at midfield with a chance to win the danged game. As it was, they scored, burned up a bunch of clock, and we got the ball back with less than 2 minutes.

Given Beamer's aggressive style, I half expected it there.

Wouldn’t have been a bad idea. Damn we scored 38 points & lost a damn bowl game.

It certainly wouldn't have been a terrible idea and I thought we might try and trick them right there. Our defense was absolutely gassed at that point to put them right back on the field.

Hindsight is always 20/20 I suppose. We still had a chance at the end but those penalties really killed us on that last drive. The marginal at best call for that crack back block set us back big time.

Do you realize how bad that call would be labeled if they had tried and failed? I can hear it now. “ What a dumb call!!” “ That call cost us the game.” Etc etc

Certainly in hindsight it would’ve been nice. But time really wasn’t a huge factor as we did have time. We got to the 34 with 45 seconds left. We just got costly penalties after that.

Plus, the QB just gave us his 2nd pick 6 of the day. I think everyone knew it was going to be a large dose of running. They took a shot by throwing on 3rd down when we gambled they wouldn’t. Otherwise we’re in great shape to go down and tie the game, possibly even win it.

Well, that's why it takes balls to do it. I havent talked to every Gamecock fan today, but everyone I've talked to said they didnt think we could stop ND on that last drive. In hindsight, we were right.

I would love to see us master the onside kick. It will always be a crazy difficult play but so valuable.

My favorite was Alabama vs. Clemson in that 2015 CFP game...oh yes.
