It is funny in hindsight, given the loss. However, I don't mind the trash talk so much. It used to be ok to "hate" your opponent. It was a pep rally and all for the home crowd, so of course it was gonna be designed to get them hyped up. The problem now with social media is all this stuff leaks out and is a "bad look" in our PC sensitive culture. Of course, in a presser and on the field, you give respect to your opponent. But a pep rally for the fans that's supposed to pep people up. Sure, go for it.
If this were the players or a coach saying this publicly, it'd be a very different story for me. But it's just fans (or maybe those guys are cheerleaders...not sure what's going on there). Fans talk. Much more "offensive" things are said in locker rooms in the pregame. We just don't see/hear it.
