"CFB"? They need to rename it and lose the "College" part.
Saw a few early bowl projections and favorites to make the playoff are Michigan, Georgia, Washington, and FSU (????). I've seen PSU vs. LSU in the Peach Bowl. I'd be okay with that, but I think this might be the year we take that next step...

It's possible, but it's not a given. Injuries and a host of other things play into making the playoffs. PSU still has question marks at WR, DT, and we'll have to see how that shakes out. We can still try and pretend we have a bad coach though until that occurs.....as it's always easy to say....ooooops glad I was wrong or some other BS message board cliche.
I just feel lucky that the NCAA allows us to still have a football program.

2024 will be the year we make our CFP debut. I hope I'm wrong and it's 2023 but it's gonna be tough while breaking in a new QB.
As long as Franklin is around, PSU will not make the playoff. Not with 4 teams or 12 teams. He is one of the worst coaches in all of football.

luck in terms of injuries is probably a major factor for the teams that have been making the CFB.....Bama and UGA have overcome some of the bad luck but for others I am sure that has played a factor. other 5* QBs in their second year have stepped up so maybe Drew does also.
I am not sure how much better we will be in 2024, as we will be losing a lot after this season. QB should be better in 2024 but a lot of new starters.
All I know is that all sports journalists know the following:
1. Place Michigan in your preseason top 5
2. Never say anything negative about Syracuse unless you don't want to work for ESPiN
3. Treat Notre Dame like they are well, god-like, or somehow more noble.
4. Fawn over the SEC
5. Pick one 'feel good' school each year to gush over
6. Defend paying college athletes at all cost and even when its a detriment to their well-being
7. Always fall back on the notion that D1 football players are not really students and never were
8. Pile on a coach that loses a big game, it's fun!
9. Make sure to talk about 'draft worthy' kids on their first snap of college as if you are scooping everyone
10. Vote in the polls as if you are blind, since you haven't watched any of the schools that weekend except your local beat.
