See D. Krein , Miami same play.
Why do you have to dredge up bad memories? ;)

One other thing that adds to the belief of lack of adjustments is if 44 is going to be a problem, making sure to have a tight end on that side to help out. Yes, Harrison would be a problem on the other side but Fashanu has shown to be more than competent in keeping that side clean

Good summary. The "World Famous Ohio State" is annoying buy I kind of get why he says it. Whenever a movie is made with some college football reference is involved it seems like its OSU. Those 2 Keanu Reaves movies, the one with Chadwick Boseman, etc.

I really enjoy your lists. Thanks for sharing.

Although, I think you have a misprint in your #9 item. The turnovers were all on Clifford. It is no coincidence that every opponents‘ Defensive Ends look like all-America candidates when facing Clifford. Those turn overs were inexcusable, catastrophic, and typical Clifford.
I’d put the second interception on the OC. Why thevhell are we throwing two yard passes when we need three vyards?

#44, JT Tuimoloau, sophomore, 5-star recruit out of Edgewood, Washington, 6'-4", 270lb. CJF may be a good recruiter, but he isn't getting players like this.
Bingo!!! Those are the difference makers. Coach Scott might be a good coach but he's not the recruiter we need in the Mid-Atlantic area. Maybe it doesn't matter the kids don't want to go to PSU rater go to Texas A&M, Texas, Clemson, Florida and S.Carolina. There is 2=4 4 star players on the D-Line that need to get bigger and better.

Yeah, I went and looked him up after the game and he was the #2 overall player in the country in his class. And that other DL - #33 - 5 star Jack Sawyer - was also in the top 5 in the country overall in their class. They're both only 2nd year players. Jesus H Christ.

A topic deserving it’s own thread.

I’m baffled watching other teams with kickers effortlessly, accurately and consistently hitting 40+ yard FG’s but this doesn’t seem to be a point of emphasis or concern under Franklin.

Jake “Shank City” Pinegar is somehow getting a scholarship 🤷🏼‍♂️

His recruitment was a dogfight with Saban for a reason. Kids like this are difference makers.

Big kudos to PSU for the performance yesterday. A few plays really turned the tide, but that was the typical rock fight we seem to get with PSU. Was hoping for a more subdued sleepy noon crowd, but not to be. We needed adversity in that kind of environment, although maybe not that much. That very well could have ended differently had Tuimoloau not gone full blown superhero mode.

Best of luck to you all. Should end up 10-2 in a NY6 bowl -- pretty solid season considering a lot of people wrote you off in the preseason.
Stand by for some more embarrassing surprises at PSU.

The biggest surprise for me is that Clifford didn't keep the ball one time in the run game. There were multiple plays where if he would have kept it he would have had some nice gains. That may have opened up the run game some more.

Go back to the run Clifford had against Michigan. He looked like Tom Brady out there old manning up the field. He ran the 62 yard dash in 20.1 seconds.

But seriously, he has half the top end speed he had last year pre-injury. I think his name is on the wall for QBs 40 yard dash times. He's hobbled to some degree.

Real simple - OSU, Alabama, and Georgia recruit at a different level than everyone else. Eventually - during a game - their depth catches up with the opposing team

I bailed on the game before that INT but looking at the box score drive chart, the INT occurred at 2:52 remaining and PSU down 13 points. I would assume Clifford was trying to "make something happen" and especially since it happened deep in PSU territory tells me that said INT was probably mostly on Cliff. He did have the two INTs in the first quarter and appeared to settle down but I recall one pass "in traffic" which was tipped and nearly intercepted by the OSU D that I believe Washington caught and bailed Cliff out. Cliff has had a bunch of untimely INTs in his career. This was just one of many.

#14 absolutely correct. Agree with all
we do that far too often...we get caught in full blitzes and no defenders in the middle. This should have been corrected after the first game. Manny is just a mite too aggressive with the blitzes and they're not having the necessary effect
