I feel like our basketball teams always play with heart. Not sure that can be disputed. But I've never seen a team - not just this year, but for all of the recent past - have so many close losses. I guess there have been more than a few lopsided losses over the years, but also many games where they come up just a point or two short. Just can't ever get over the hump.

It's disappointing that we blew a double-digit first half lead. But yeah, some of these close ones are bound to go our way. This at least gives me hope that we're getting close.

Could have used Greg Lee, as the Box score indicates they tore us up down low.

Many times over the years, including now, they are 1 player away. PSU rarely gets that athletic wing who can break down a defense and get to the FT line 10 times a game. Lamar Stevens was that guy and had them in the tourney, the other years they were good they had sharp shooters like Lisicky and the Crispins. If Brockington stayed, they would have 3-4 more wins this year. The athletes are coming in the next two classes.

When you play hard on D you will almost always be in games. They don't have a pure scorer. They need a guy that can make his own shot and still be able to hit the three.

If they had a really good 2022 style point it would make all the difference.

Know I will be pounded for this but I cant see much improvement over years before. 10 minute droughts in scoring blowing double digit is leads what we are use to for PSU Bball This is not against the coach or the players but it certainly is hard to understand year after year. watching last night was like a needle in the eye

This is our worst team in several years…but Shrewsberry did a nice job of salvaging what could have been a huge rebuild after all of the transfers. Things bottomed out a lot more at the start of the Dechellis and Chambers eras, while we’re still a top 80ish team this year.

Too bad thinking about what could have been this year…Wheeler starting on a top 25 team, Brockington having a great year, Jones in and out of the starting lineup at Florida, Buttrick averaging double figures. Even could have gotten help from Abdou who is now starting at Fordham, and Houston Mallette who is starting at Pepperdine and averaging 11 points.

PSU basketball - year after year - is a mystery. You guys are very good / excellent in almost every other sport - men or women. Yet, PSU cannot put together a really good basketball program especially considering all of the super HS talent available on the East coast
