For the first time this season, Mississippi State took home the series win against an SEC opponent. Does the two wins over South Carolina change the direction this team is heading, or is it too little too late for the Diamond Dawgs? Brian Hadad and Robbie Faulk discuss the weekend at Dudy Noble Field.

There are only 3 teams below us in the standings (we're tied in suckage w/ A&M). We won 2 of 3 games from 1 of the teams below us this weekend. They've won only 2 conference games this season, and one of them was against us and our best pitcher. This series didn't change my feelings about HIM or this team yet one bit.

Winning 2 of 3 from another bottom feeder at home? Are you kidding? It would take a run akin to the 22 mississippi rebels to change my mind because I not only remember what happened in March, but what happened 22 and 23 as well.

We know we can beat the little sisters of the poor like SC. What we have failed to do is do much against any team with a pulse.

In fact against such teams, including Troy, USM, OSU, Arizona, TX, LSU and OU, we are 2-11.

Exactly, call me if we win 2 on the road at Tuscaloosa. Winning 2 of 3 at home against one of the worst 2 teams in the conference was the minimum standard. We should have swept.
