Lived = had a residence, such as received mail, had a phone line utilities
Stayed = maybe a week or more
Visited = Intentionally went there for a day trip, weekend trip
Stopped = Stayed overnight but not an intended destination, perhaps on the way to a place Visited
Passed = Went through the State without stopping overnight

I got 183, but I started with a different scale where staying overnight was considered 'staying.' Very few states I haven't stayed overnight--Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Driving across NE or OK feels like being a place way more than an overnight stay somewhere like VT or NH, though!

I noticed that you have deleted your previously posted map. I saw it earlier and it was about as expected.

Like @GreggK you will never be mistaken for an adventurous nomad and should take some pride in your “established regionalism”.

You wouldn’t believe the road trip I could plan for you (Thelma) and @GreggK (Louise) that will take you both to some astonishingly beautiful mid-continental and upper Midwestern places you’ve previously never visited.

How the road trip ends I can’t promise. It might involve bad GPS directions near the rim of the Grand Canyon

when I went to renew my global security the officer is looking over my places visited list... then he looks at me... looks back down at it... then asks "you travel a lot.... for business?"

Some. Mostly vacation.

Think he was trying to determine if i was some kind of intl dealer of ill repute. lol.

Yeah I have been to about 40 countries mix of Military, Business and personal...I actually hate traveling..i am. Going to get a 5th wheel in couple years and do the mountain west...
