TN Edge rusher in the backfield all night

So, what do you do?
Extra blocker to help?
Take advantage of the wide-angle rush with a designed play to make them pay?
Running play off the vacated tackle spot rushing wide at least?

From my viewpoint, we did neither. Why?
Beamer should have been ranting to coaches for an attempt at a solution.
Poor coaching - if we can see it on TV, they can see it from the booth.

It did not look like we tried anything different but I’m not a coach and haven’t watched the game again.

From a fan’s perspective, it just looked like we kept running the same plays.

Agreed. Our LT was getting abused badly.

Maybe they tried calling plays to get it out quicker, rather than shift protections? I sure didn't notice it if they did.

It was frustrating.

Just about any left tackle would have been abused with the wide angle he was taking - OC should have called a few run plays off tackle which would possibly have resulted in some nice gains and would have made the DE close his gap

You started to line the TE on Pierce’s side
Once, he just split the OT and the RB
Tennessee also ran more stunts last night than we have all games this year combined (1 sack was on a stunt)
If you double Pierce then Barron, Norman-Lott or the other DT were singled up and got pressure as the line isn’t that good at the moment

We *maybe* tried to chip him once. The entire 3rd and 4th quarters he was one on one with Tree and Tree lost every down.
