I thought he was going to quit. Being reported that he told team he plans to be the Steeler coach in 2024

So I plan to have a boring fall of 2024. More snoozefest garbage play and mediocrity.

But at least I won't be bitterly disappointed like some other local fans! Hope = the killer
They will finish last in the division. QB is going to be a joke. Trubisky is done in Pittsburgh, Rudolph is a FA and is average at best and Pickett stinks! Hope I am wrong, but I have a negative attitude towards them right now. And no, I am not saying Tomlin is not a good coach, but staff hires and the organization have made some real, glaring errors

To your last point, Najee is speaking up about the in house culture.

So who does he bring in as his coordinators? That needs to be done to know what to do at quarterback. You either keep Rudolph and see what he can do and draft lineman on both sides of the ball and inside linebacker and another corner or you try to draft someone like Nix in the first round

Maybe the City of Pittsburgh can capitalize on their sports legacy with a new ad campaign for tourism:

"Pittsburgh! Where we love and celebrate sports mediocrity in both our college and pro teams all year round"!
or
"Thank the Lord we don't have a pro basketball team or they would suck mediocrity also"!

Najee is begging for some discipline. From what the players were saying in Washington, Bienemy is just that. Not sure how much of a play caller he is though.

It really is.

Contrast that with the new stat of the most tenured coach in the league.

We've had our coach the longest, and have one of the longest playoff win droughts in the league.

WHERE CAN I BUY A ******* T-SHIRT????!?!?!?!?!?

9-8/10-7, 1st round exit from the play offs.

"The standard is the standard." Shades
This is exactly why is Steeler fans are so tired of his schtick. The standard was once the Super Bowl, now it’s a winning(barely)season.

question for the board. If someone told you that your team would not win a playoff game for a decade, regardless of any other stat, would you sign up for that?

They cost themselves something like five spots in the draft by winning against Baltimore. Tomlin not doing himself any favors.

Tgar for one is happy Coach Tomlin is back. The NFL is a grind and a QB driven league ( Offensive Coordinator / passing game coordinator as well )

Let’s see what happens when he has new parts to compete with. The Rooneys run a great operation. If it’s Coach Tomlin for them, it’s Coach Tomlin for Tgar.

the team was competitive with players brought in off the street.

Tomlin’s only knocks could be applied to Franklin as well. The inability to identify who should be the backup QB And who should be the Offensive Coordinator. ( at least for this past season )

Sad. I was hoping for new life for the Steelers. I've watched a slow degradation since he won 1 with Cowher's disciplined team. You can't be their buddy and maintain discipline as Harris alluded to in his recent interview. They love him but they aren't disciplined.

I've seen this Tomlin movie before and I'm bored with it. I want to see a new ending not the same thing with the credits telling me he hasn't had a losing season. Let's move on.

Baltimore let them win at that. The Ravens could have played their full team just to ensure Pitt was eliminated.

There has to be a different standard in Pitt than the rest of the NFL. how are you long tenured and not winning a playoff game?

”"I expect to be back, and I would imagine that those contract things are going to run their course," Tomlin said at his end-of-season news conference Thursday. "Art [Rooney II] and I have a really good, transparent relationship. We communicate continually often. I don't imagine it's going to be an issue, and I imagine it's going to get done in a timely manner at the appropriate time, but my mindset is to coach his football team."

Rooney later told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette the team does "plan to extend Mike's contract."”

I’m generally pro Tomlin but the comment about Pickett being the starter for next season is Making me lean the other direction. I don’t understand how you can watch the 18 games this year and think that KP deserves to be anointed the starter.

It’s pretty obvious that Rudolph was better, and that the rest of his teammates played harder for him.
