At some point, Casey Dick threw an incomplete lateral to Darren McFadden. An MSU defender scooped it up with nothing between him and the goal line but open field, but the side judge ruled it an incomplete forward pass.

With my sleeping 2-year-old daughter in my arms, I stood up, tried to cover her ears, and yelled, "That's bulls**t!"

That's when I knew it had gone too far. Don't get me wrong, I'm still passionate. But ever since then, I've done a better job of keeping things in perspective.

That was you guys? I sat on row 24 and remember hearing y'all. Good stuff. And yes, inevitably, someone would get the redass over it and start yelling back, or move to another section.

I once got cussed out by a woman at the end of a game who told me Croom was her cousin and she didn't appreciate all the criticism. I told her I didn't care if he was her husband, when you suck, you suck. That wasn't pretty.

Luckily, I'm mellowing in my old age.
