On Sunday, I drove from Atlanta to Beaufort, but took a detour through Columbia to visit a friend. I tried to pick up WNKT 107.5 The Game on my car radio to listen to USC/Auburn baseball when I was about halfway between Augusta and Columbia, but the FM tuner kept skipping over that frequency. I was able to stream it through my phone and bluetooth connection to the receiver, but why bother with all that when I should just be able to receive it via "regular" FM radio? It was still skipping even in Columbia.

Were they having transmission issues, or do I have a stupid tuner in my car?

They announced a few days ago that they were having issues. Suggested you download the app until issue is resolved. I have used the app for a long time because of reception in my area has never been good. Works great.

I like the static, it reminds me of listening to basketball games on my alarm clock radio in grade school

I use the app when in Atlanta. Was hoping not to have to use it in the Midlands.

Transmitter got damaged in a storm, and supply chain issues have kept our engineer from getting the parts we need to repair it so we’re on a temporary backup. It’s extremely frustrating, but hopefully will be resolved soon. In the meantime, the app is best option for some.

As I was passing by Aiken yesterday on I-20, I was able to pick it up weakly and briefly. I expected the signal strength to increase the closer I got to Columbia and was frustrated/confused that it died. Thank you all for clarifying. I did run the app on my phone and paired it with the car receiver. While appreciative of the app, tuning in directly to 107.5 on my radio is easier.

Unfortunately, my work schedule precludes my ability to listen to your show as often as I would like, Heath. I do enjoy it when able; keep up the good work.
