Truth be told, I haven’t enjoyed a game of ours this year

I HAVE enjoyed some of the outcomes, like UK. I celebrated that outcome big time. But the games themselves…not one of them has been enjoyable to watch. Even when we won, we have not played well. Or it’s taken us 3 quarters to get our act together. The first few minutes of the A&M game were scintillating, but we couldn’t manage ANY offense until midway through the 3rd quarter, slowly letting A&M climb back in the game. We jumped to a quick 7-0 lead against UK but, again, the offense was totally MIA for the entire first half. The defense got dragged like a rag doll by Vandy. We even failed to look very impressive/dominant against Ga St, SC St or Charlotte.

It just has not been an enjoyable product to watch this year.

Well we haven’t beaten an actual good team, so hard to enjoy them a lot. Everyone we beat was either FCS or a dumpster fire like us. UK isnt bad but without the #1 NFL QB draft pick playing that obviously changed their team
LMAO #1 draft pick. What a crock. He sure helped them a lot with the hapless Commodores...

I think he was probably joking a little bit about the number one draft pick thing. But Levis is constantly touted as a top quarterback in the draft. And, let’s be honest his absence totally changed the complexion of that game for them.

Special Teams is fun to watch. Maybe we can challenge UT and CU to a Special Teams match and we have a chance.

They couldn't beat Vandy with him...It's hard to think he would have any impact on any game when they couldn't handle a team that had lost 26 straight SEC games with him.

I probably shouldn't have. They just have not been fun to watch. During the A&M game, my wife responded to my constant expressions of disgust by asking "not going well? what's the score?" I had to say "well, we're up 17-3, but we're playing like crap." She found it hard to believe we could be up that much that early in the game and be playing poorly. It's been that way the whole season.

Even our cupcake wins were maddening. Ga State was 12-7 at half. Charlotte was 20-14. Even against FCS SC State it was only 22-0. at half.

We have not had one all-around good performance this season.

It's been a terrible season from an eye test standpoint. I haven't felt great about any of our victories. Shutting KY up was nice. A&M was a much needed monkey off our backs. But even those wins were left me with a ho hum feeling. There just is never a feeling of watching us where you go, hey, we know what we're doing. And we're doing it well.

It's a clown show.

Personally found the Muschamp teams even more difficult to watch. At least Beamer has good energy and doesn't try to manage our team into the ground. Whether he has any answers for a program which has laregely struggled for close to a decade now remains to be seen.

It's always humorous when someone chooses to reply to a 2 1/2 month old thread without understanding any of the context form when it was originally posted. Good job!

Why can’t posters accept this is a terrible year and a bad tea m and no number of critical posts is going to change that fact. John Wooden or Frank McGuire could do much with this roster. LetK’s just let this year end and hope the coaches can build a roster of players that can compete in the SEC.

lol, I started this thread after the UF football game. Up to that point in the season, we had not played well in a single game. Of course we know now that things turned around.

Thanks to whoever resurrected a 2 1/2 month old thread to confuse everyone!

I almost made the same mistake. Read the OP and was thinking basketball, and was about to say "well at least we beat clemson".

Mark Kingston is on the clock!

A friend of mine who is a Clemson fan was texting me last week and talking about baseball season. Said they absolutely had to win the series to salvage something from the athletic year. He said "We've got to beat Carolina in something."

I understand....and agree. But as a life-long Gamecock fan....I will take the results.
