Always thought that story got blown outta proportion and thought it sounded far fetched but of course I wasn't there. I meet and have met tons of Tech Fans here in DFW and never met a one who didn't miss Leach or agree with his dismissal.

I have a buddy who is a Texas Tech grad. He and everyone there love Mike Leach. First thing he said to me when we hired him was “that man is a national treasure, damn I miss him. You guys will love him”. Leach has always been my favorite football coach starting back when he was at Tech. I even used to use his playbook on PlayStation NCAA Football.
