If every season ticket holder, booster and NIL contributor threaten to stop donating or buying tickets Selmon would have to take notice. It can be done. Hit all the message board and get it started. It would probably only take a few thousand emails to Selmon to get his eyes open. I am going to spend my money elsewhere. I am done. ****'eem. Let them go 2-9 again because that is what going to happen so why pay for that ****. The money I spend on pledge and tickets would pay for a really fun vacation.

Wait one second. So the dude committed to us a while back, flipped to Ole Miss today, and then flipped back to us today and signed with us? Am I getting this correct? I'm so ******* sick of college football in 2024.

If that's what happened then its great and all, but we are still getting absolutely crushed in recruiting by our in state rival. The separation is getting bigger and bigger each season. Instead of sitting back and complaining, our fans have to start giving to the BI. That's the only way it will change in this new environment.

How did this happen? I thought teams only tweeted out players' names once they signed. Did Ole Miss get an NLI from Lockhart? Did they get rid of NLIs? If so, how does a player officially choose a school?

Does it really matter if they sign or not? Hell, they can sign today and transfer when the portal opens. It is nuts. It's not enjoyable anymore. My son even told me not to renewal my tickets. They can literally get money to sign today and when the portal opens, they can enter, go somewhere else, and get paid again. It is possible for that to happen.

I wonder how much NIL money we wasted getting the kid to flip back to us on the same day he flipped from us. It's all insanity to me. We are clearly at a long term disadvantage in this new era.

Are we even positive that he signed with us today?

Patdog said some of the issue has been fix. They can no longer sign today and then enter the portal.

247 says he signed. And as funny as I think it is, I’m always a bit skeptical when there’s this much drama with a recruit. Committed to one school, then recommitted & committed to State, then flipped twice on signing day. To me that’s a sign of a guy that could be a problem. Hope not.

Ole Miss's tweet was taken down. I think it violated Twitter's TOS.

It could be, but it's very clear that this kid got into a bidding war between two SEC schools and I can't really blame him for that in this era. Good for him I guess. With just about ALL of the 4 and 5 stars taking serious NIL money, It doesn't necessarily mean the kid is a headcase. This all makes me sick because it's only second to political campaigns on how much money is just wasted. It will hurt the game in the long run if they don't put some structure to it and give the schools with less a chance to compete.

The big schools are going to have to get pissed off enough to make some changes, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'm pretty sure Mama Lockhart got on that a$$ and straightened him out. His brother and his best friend play at State. She did not want them separated. Unless it was a pre planned troll job. Which Lebbey had said they were working on some surprises for later in the day. But to get right down to it Turner has to go. Not one quality DL signed ? Come on. We signed good players at every position but DL. A little light on WR but that's not our weak spot. Turner obviously can not recruit linemen. Weak af. DBs and LBs we did good. Replace him with a recruiter

That was supposed to be part of the awesomeness of Hutzler! I mean c’mon, he was a star recruiter at Alabama. We all know that if a guy can recruit at Alabama, he can recruit ANNNYWHERRRRRRRE.

So parenting is equal to bullying now if you don’t like where they sign? Recruiting was bad enough before, but hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions of dollars being thrown at kids who often times aren’t even old enough to vote yet. Glad to see parents who will step up and be engaged and not just chase a dollar and shiny objects.

How do we really know it's not just a $$ problem? You could have Nick Saban recruiting these guys and if they money is not on par with others your not getting these guys. The money has actually got to be above par because a good player wants to play at a school that is winning.

His position group looked pretty damn good. Linebackers were decent this year and he just signed 3 of the top linebacker recruits in the state. Our DL signees look like scout team at best. And how many studs did we sign last year ??

Do you think Lebby told Turner he can't spend any crootin money ? That it's all going to linebackers and QBs ? We signed quite a few 4 stars for it to be money. Every school hands out money. That's not the only criteria.

My point was that he’s the head of the defense so he should be able to seal the deal when other guys can’t (when he’s supposed to be an elite recruiter).

No. But did he offer as much as others or more?

Well of course idk that answer. Ray Charles can see that we are sucking hind tit on the DL and have been for a couple of years. Even before Hutzler got here. Soooo....I'm looking at the position coach. Cause that position is terrible and in the long run will/should cost some people their jobs

A guy who could be a problem? Sounds like he’ll fit in well with the 100 or so other players and coaches we have that already fit that description.

This^^^^

Can you imagine being 17 years old and you have these adults (coaches and agents) manipulating you with promises of millions, playing time and ... oh look that hot blonde wants you to come here.

17 years old, they need someone they can trust to navigate all that pressure.

That's a terrible way to operate. Would it work? Probably. It would also cripple your program for the next coach.

Better off to continue to support, but bltch to high hell to everyone who will notice.

Turner came back in 23 and I can't think of a top lineman he has signed other than Trevion Williams. He and Dink were 23 and Kai McClendon was 24. Name somebody else please. Surely I'm missing a couple 4 star lineman. Hutzler didn't come on board until after the recruiting cycle last year. Which was a problem also

the bitching is not going to do. He can shut down email and phone calls. He can't hide from not having money coming in.

That’s a bush league program.

South Carolina and Clemson don’t do that shlt.
We are Bush League. Did you not watch one game this season? Apparently Selmon don't give a ****. They must be good with 2 and 10 season because they have not done anything to address it. Bush League.
