Looking it over, a few things stand out to me.

The neutral site game with Georgia Tech is being played at the Braves' AAA affiliate's field in Lawrenceville, GA, not Truist in Smyrna, GA (covered in a previous thread).

They are playing Wofford at Fluor Field. We have no games there this year; there were years when we'd have two, especially before Furman dropped baseball.

They have the usual home-and-home with Clemron. Always like seeing such OOC non-instate match-ups of P5 schools.

But what stands out most to me is their three game set with Georgia Southern. One game in Athens, one in Statesboro, and the third, neutral site game is being held at SRP Park in North Augusta, SC. Two Georgia schools playing a regular-season, non-tournament, non-round-robin game vs each other out of state. Barely out of state, since the stadium sits on the banks of the Savannah River, but still out of state. Almost, but not quite like if we played the neutral site game vs Clemron in Charlotte or at Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta.

Officially named Coolray Field. It's relatively new and a very nice facility. If you're in the area and interested in watching some minor league ball this is a nice place to go do that.

That's very interesting and tells me they are looking to enhance their brand all over this region.

Clemtech plays C of C at Segra in Columbia on May 10th.
A lot of teams are doing this for exposure to fans and a recruiting tool.
Also.. MiLB venues lost a lot of revenue with the year off in 2020 so they need all events possible.
I know my son played at Flour vs Wofford when he was at Winthrop. Cool seeing him on the mound at a park like that although looking back it really wasnt all that.
That can sell recruits though.

Not a matter of caring, but I found it interesting that their neutral site game with Georgia Southern is to be played out of state (albeit barely).

Indeed. However, I see no OOC games on their schedule vs school from Alabama, But Athens is much closer to Augusta and upstate SC than it is to anywhere in Alabama.

Then I agree. That is odd.
And that's my point, I do appreciate the schools searching out a neutral location for the third game. I guess SRP Park made them a "can't refuse" offer.

And UGA's playing Wofford at Fluor is something we would do vs Wofford, Upstate, or Furman (before they dropped baseball).

Now Georgia Tech has an interesting end to their regular season schedule. Unlike the SEC which begins conference play in weekend 5, and each team has 10 consecutive conference weekends, the ACC begins conference play during weekend 4 (which is why we play Clemron during weekend 3 - it's the last mutually-open weekend), and each school gets an "off" weekend later in the season. Georgia Tech's "off" weekend this season is weekend 13. In past years, they've scheduled home series against schools like Illinois-Chicago during their "off" weekend. This year, no weekend series, but the following Monday, they are playing at Akron, Tuesday, at Kent State, then finish off the regular season Thurs-Sat at Pittsburgh.

Again, no impact on us, I don't care one way or the other, but I thought that was interesting, because you don't normally see a P5 school play a long distance OOC game on the road vs a mid major (USC playing Coastal in Conway is not long distance compared to this).

Now I would like to see the SEC start conference play during weekend 4, and allow us and Clemron to play a weekend series later during the season. Half of the SEC East would probably go for it
