That’s exactly what it sounds like to me as well.Wow! In his defense, he may have been promised a certain amount of NIL money and that money was not delivered. If you hired on to a job, promised a certain salary, but you got a lower salary, you'd likely move on too.
Dude. This seems to me more of a potentially tampering situation. Maybe a certain player rep was reached out to by a school and that said schools collective has made an offer. You are going to see this more and more with G5 and maybe some P4 players. Maintain eligibility for a year to go play at a bigger school.
But he must know something about what he’s going to be paid by another school. I guarantee there is tampering going on.Dude.
Think.
Occam’s Razor.
What’s more likely to happen?
Someone not being paid the way he thought he was — something seen a LOT in the job world as we both know— or tampering?
Not being paid like he was promised makes a lot of sense considering the comment about “discussions.”
I googled it and first result said per a “source” he’s been approached by another school offering more money. But he must know something about what he’s going to be paid by another school. I guarantee there is tampering going on.

I didn’t completely discount the possibility.I googled it and first result said per a “source” he’s been approached by another school offering more money.
Edit to add: Graduate student QB transfer from Holy Cross. Below a 50 percent completion rate this season and averaging a little over 100 yards passing per game does not sound like someone who would be a prospect.
If he’s a player I hope it’s us.But he must know something about what he’s going to be paid by another school. I guarantee there is tampering going on.
He’s mainly a running QB, no future as an NFL QB. He’s trying to make his money while he can, and only got one season of eligibility left. Can’t say I blame him. This is what college sports is all about now. Make the most $$ you canEdit to add: Graduate student QB transfer from Holy Cross. Don’t disagree, but he also made a promise to the university to play football. If he’s healthy and refusing, I’d pull his scholarship, stop all forms of NIL payments, and consider a request for reimbursements if I’m UNLV.Wow! Unfortunately, this year, it wouldn't matter. Last year we might/would have beaten them without Dart. They barely beat us with Dart.We should pay Dart to sit out the Egg Bowl
With our defense they will still beat us by 40.We should pay Dart to sit out the Egg Bowl
Gross.Redshirting so he retains his year of eligibility so that he can transfer to another school and make more money. This is getting out of control.

I think redshirting may be on the way out anyway other than medical ones.Time to bring all the NIL in-house into the athletic departments and sign these kids to contracts. You don't fulfill your side of the contract, you can be sued. And the 4-game redshirt rule is complete bullsh!t.
Good luck with that. They could take a bite out of tampering if they flagged sus cases and gave them the show cause treatment.
If this is true then it’s a different conversation for me:
Don't know if he had eye popping stats at Holy Cross and don't care to look. But this is going to become more common. These smaller to mid level FBS schools are going to feast on the FCS players as they rightly should.I didn’t completely discount the possibility.
I edited in this comment after replying initially.
He doesn’t scream Prospect to me. Grad student transfer from an FCS school?
I think this is happening pretty soon from what I hear.Time to bring all the NIL in-house into the athletic departments and sign these kids to contracts. You don't fulfill your side of the contract, you can be sued. And the 4-game redshirt rule is complete bullsh!t.
It better. Or else we've got $8,000,000 parked in a place we can't use it. I think the plan everywhere is for this to happen next year. But a balky judge not approving a settlement agreement could cause problems.I think this is happening pretty soon from what I hear.

It was happenign before NIL. Houston basically quit on a season a few years back. QB amongst others shut it down after game 4 after a poor startkids and parents are fully aware of the 4 game/redshirt rule. Players that don't get what they are promised (playing time and money) and that don't play much, are asking for redshirts to extend their shelf life and nil opportunities.
Again another unattended consequence of all this. However in this particular case, I don't blame the guy if he isn't getting what he was promised.
