Something tells me that Clemson is going to beat South Carolina and jump up to 10, possibly 9. A dangerous draw in the playoffs.
And that just makes me root for A&M on Saturday.It's interesting that the two voters who had PSU ranked 7th (lowest PSU ranking) both live in Austin TX.

I think SC has a lot of fire power and will win just my 2 cents, good game nonetheless.
8-3 Alabama with 2 losses to unranked teams only drops to #13, conspicuously remaining on the bubble for the playoffs (at least, from the AP's perspective, which definitely carries weight).
1. SEC bias is real.
2. It's possible that AP pollsters submit their votes the same way that Academy members vote for the Oscars: "I didn't see any of these films, but I've heard of this one, so I'll put that down for Best Picture."
3. No other team in the country with a 3-loss record (including losses to Vandy and unranked Oklahoma who held them to a solitary field goal) would be ranked #13.
4. It seems obvious what the AP's vision is: hope for someone in the top-12 to lose this week, so they can throw their hands up in the air and claim they have no choice but to slot Bama back into the top-12.

Exactly...if people are going to bash rankings, can they show us their work on what should actually happen with the rankings.
Personally, I might be ranking Alabama over Indiana. They have 4 wins that are better than Indiana's best win (Georgia, South Carolina, @LSU, and Missouri), and two of their losses are clearly against teams that are better than the best team Indiana beat (at Tennessee and at Oklahoma, and at Vandy would be close). It's tough to separate these teams when one has two more losses, but played a much, much more difficult schedule.
A team that doesn't have 3 losses, two of which were to unranked opponents.
Is this supposed to be a "gotcha!" question?
