Crazy how that happened out of the blue. He's been tight all game.
Ump single handedly took us out of two potential big innings.

Jones pitched well enough to win. Ultimately the bullpen imploded.
I've been down on our chances to host, but the announcers in the SECT have me at least thinking it's a decent enough possibility. We're 5 in the RPI, 3 in SOS. We are 20-15 against Q1 teams. Nobody in the country has more Q1 wins. There are 4 with 20. Q2 is a little problematic, going 2-2. A lot has been said about our injuries in May. We can debate whether or not that's valid, but the timing of our decline matches up with the injuries, and the committee should recognize that. We're getting guys back. King said McGillis should be able to play this year. And we should get Sanders back too. Again, just getting healthy again usually has weight with the committee. We'll see how it shakes out. But the announcers kind of seemed like it was ridiculous that we even had to make a case for it.
The problem with the announcers is the number of hosts. They were saying well obviously this team should host, and then they'd say well obviously this team should host, and then they'd say well obviously this team should host... There just aren't many hosts. Unless we can win another game or two here now, we aren't hosting.
